ThePitcher 2016: Special Interview with Christina Matiaki from Liked.gr

As the winners of the contest organized by the Greek accelerator Metavallon, exclusive partner of ThePitcher event, the team of Liked.gr flew to Istanbul and on April 16th took ThePitcher stage by storm. They had the opportunity to pitch some of the most prominent investors in the region, to meet with fellow entrepreneurs and enjoy a day full of pitching and networking.

In a special interview, Christina Matiaki from Liked.gr talks about the benefits of the whole experience and shares what is next for their company.

Can you introduce your startup to our audience?

Our startup, liked.gr, wants to offer B2B on-line/mobile services. We focus on customer satisfaction as a metric tool for businesses. By giving the opportunity to businesses to know their customers’ opinion in an easy and efficient way, we help them gain new customers and retain the old ones. The way we do that is by following the new trends in the customer care industry and being as up-to-date as possible.

What is your opinion about ThePitcher event?

A very rich experience! Coming from a different country, The Pitcher gave us the opportunity to meet new people and watch them present their fresh and very interesting ideas. Young pioneers with passion and enthusiasm for their work, like us! The event in total was a celebration of innovative entrepreneurship.

How did your startup benefit from it?

As we are quite new to the startup eco system, we had the chance to see the presentations of experienced teams and gain knowledge through their experience. We also met some very interesting investors and by talking with them we took a glimpse how things look through their point of view.

If you had one piece of advice to the future participants of the event, what would it be?

I will use a moto that is not ours, but really express what we want to say to The Pitchers’ future participants, Venture forth! Do Dare!
If you have the idea, the team and the passion you already have the basic ingredients for a potential successful business.

What is next for your company?

Now for us is “hunting” season. We are looking for investments, necessary for the completion of our prototype and alongside we are working on improving and evolving our business plan. We also hope to have the chance and participate in other similar events as we understood that through such experiences we are getting wiser.

Thank you, Christina! Good luck, Liked.gr!
