Uber announced that the company has partnered with the British bank Barclays and Visa for the launch of its branded credit card that will be available to customers from the beginning of the next month. You will be able to pay with the card not only for Uber services, but also at hotels, restaurants, monthly subscriptions and so on.
The card will offer many cool perks to the users including smartphone insurance up to $600, understandably, only if you pay your monthly phone bill with the Uber card. Additional yearly $50 credit will be given to the cardholders, who pay their Netflix, Hulu, and Apple Music subscriptions.
The no-fee Uber card offers 4 percent back on restaurants, take-out and bar purchases, 3 percent back on airfare and vacation rentals, 2 percent back on online purchases, and 1 percent back on everything else that you purchase. This is not all – you get a $100 bonus if you make a $500+ purchases within the first 90 days.
Uber has changed tremendously the way we commute and now is trying to make a change in the way we handle our money. Just the time will show if this endeavor will be successful for the company to regain the trust of the customers, who have been previously let down by the company.
